Welcome! You are now using the official community website of CST Club (Department of Computer Science and Technology) at Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. These terms apply to all members, participants, and users.
Membership Policies

CST Club is open to students from all departments of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. Students from any department are eligible for membership.

To become a member, filling out a physical form and undergoing verification by the club is mandatory. However, you may apply online, but you must follow the club authority's instructions for verification.

Each member is allowed only one authorized online account. Attempts to create or use multiple accounts may lead to membership cancellation.

Membership is entirely under the club's control, and the club reserves the right to cancel it at any time for violating policies.

All information regarding membership can be found on the Membership Page, and the rules on that page will be considered the official terms and conditions for membership.
Membership Acquisition Process

Fill out the physical form: Provide complete personal information.

Verification: Accuracy will be verified by the club.

Online account creation: Only club-authorized email IDs must be used.
Guidelines for Website and Digital Platform Usage

The website and Discord are to be used strictly for education, projects, events, workshops, practice, and technology discussion. The club’s purpose is to facilitate knowledge and experience sharing among students.

Personal promotions, irrelevant topics, or any kind of product/service advertisement are strictly prohibited.

Each channel or page must be used for its intended purpose. For example: #support is only for assistance.

Members may only post related to official projects or activities.

All texts, codes, or articles must be presented professionally. Copy-pasted or low-quality content is not allowed.
Politics and Ideology

CST Club is not affiliated with any political party, ideology, group, or movement, and does not promote any.

Political statements, religious incitement, or ethnic hatred are strictly prohibited on this platform.

Members must avoid making offensive or misleading comments.
Political debates or party endorsements: Prohibited. Religious or ethnic incitement: May lead to strict disciplinary action.
Code of Conduct

All members must show respect, empathy, and cooperation toward one another.

Offensive comments, personal attacks, harassment, trolling, or spreading misinformation will be considered serious violations.

Proper communication among members is essential. Disputes or disagreements must be resolved separately and professionally.

Maintain respectful language and professionalism in all club forums.

Our commitment is built on attitude, professionalism, respectful interaction, and the spirit of cooperation.
Members may be muted or banned if they violate any rules. Severe action may be taken for repeated misconduct.
Learning Resources and Intellectual Property

All resources published by the club (documents, code, templates, tutorials, workshops, assignments) are intended for educational use only.

Without club permission, these resources may not be reused, shared, or sold. Proper credit must be given when using club resources.

Members who create resources may receive credit or publish them openly with club approval.
Profile and Privacy

Each member will have a public profile showing their name, batch, and contributions.

The club does not share or sell personal information to third parties. Any privacy concerns must be reported.
Prohibited Activities

Religious, political, or racially discriminatory statements

Involvement in piracy, hacking, or cybercrime

Stealing or damaging club files, code, or information

Secretly collecting or misusing another member's information

Posting irrelevant or spam content
Technical Responsibility and Security

Members are responsible for securing their own accounts.

Suspicious activity from any account must be reported immediately. Security concerns can be shared in the #support channel.

If you find a bug/error on the club website, report it in the #support channel using the bug-report tag.
Reporting and Support
1
Any issue, user complaint, or system bug may be reported in the Discord #support channel or directly to the club management team.
2
The club team will begin working on the issue within a maximum of 72 hours.
Policy Modification Rights
1
CST Club reserves the right to modify policies when necessary. Any changes will be announced via the website and Discord #Notice channel.
2
All members are required to comply with the revised policies. Any member who disagrees should consider leaving the club.
