CST Club - Terms and Conditions

Welcome! You are now using the official community club website of CST Club (DPI), Computer Science & Technology (CST) Department. These rules apply to all members, participants, and users.

Membership Policies

CST Club is open to students of all departments of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. Anyone from any department can become a member.

Each member can have only one approved online account. Attempts to create or use multiple accounts may result in membership cancellation.

Membership is entirely under the club's control and may be revoked at any time due to policy violations.

All information regarding membership is available on the Membership Page, and the rules on that page constitute the terms and conditions of membership.

Membership Process

Step 1: Visit the official CST Club - DPI website.

Step 2: Click the “Login” button at the top of the homepage.

Step 3: On the login page, click the “Don’t have an account? Register” link at the bottom.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the Registration Page.

Step 5: On the Registration Page, click the “Assessment Now” button.

Step 6: Complete the Assessment Form and submit it.

Step 7: After submission, your score will be displayed.

Step 8: Members scoring 80% or above can download the Membership Form.

Step 9: Print the Membership Form and submit it with the Membership Fee at the CST Club - DPI registrar branch.

Step 10: Once submitted, CST Club - DPI authorities will verify the form and send an email to activate your account.

Step 11: You can now log in to the CST Club - DPI website using your email.

Website & Digital Platform Guidelines

Website and Discord are to be used only for education, projects, events, workshops, practice, and technology engagement. The club's goal is knowledge and experience sharing among students.

Personal promotion, irrelevant content, or promotion of any product/service is prohibited.

Each channel or page must be used for its designated purpose (e.g., #support is for support only).

Members may post only about official projects or activities.

All text, code, or articles must be presented professionally. Copy-pasting or low-quality posts are not allowed.

Politics & Ideology

CST Club - DPI is not affiliated with any political party, ideology, group, or movement and does not promote any.

Political statements, religious provocation, or racial hatred are strictly prohibited.

Members must avoid offensive or misleading remarks.

Political debates or party support: prohibited. Religious or racial provocation: subject to strict penalties.

Code of Conduct

All members should be respectful, empathetic, and cooperative.

Offensive comments, personal attacks, harassment, trolling, and spreading misleading information will be treated as serious offenses.

Proper communication is expected among members, especially resolving disputes professionally.

Maintain clear and respectful language on club forums.

Overall attitude, professionalism, conduct, mutual respect, and willingness to assist others are our commitment.

Members may be muted or banned for rule violations. Repeated violations by members may result in severe consequences.

Learning Resources & Intellectual Property

All resources published by the club (documents, code, templates, tutorials, workshops, assignments) are for educational purposes only.

Reusing, sharing, or selling resources without permission is prohibited. Proper credit is mandatory.

Members creating resources may receive credit or may publish them publicly with club approval.

Profile & Privacy

Each member will have a public profile displaying name, batch, contributions, etc.

Members may choose to hide the following:

The club does not share or sell personal information to third parties. Any privacy concerns should be reported.

Prohibited Activities

Religious, political, or racial discriminatory statements

Engaging in piracy, hacking, or cybercrime

Stealing or destroying club files, codes, or information

Collecting or misusing other members' information

Posting irrelevant or spam content

Sharing phishing links

Sharing misleading links using shorteners like bit.ly, n9.cl, tinyurl, cut.ly

Spreading false or misleading information

Sharing malware or virus-infected files/links

Deception via social engineering or impersonation

Using obscene, offensive, or aggressive language

Sharing misleading or unverified content generated by AI/tools

Technical Responsibility & Security

Members are responsible for keeping their accounts secure.

Suspicious activity must be reported immediately. Security issues can be reported on the #support channel.
3
Bugs or errors on the website should be reported using the bug-report tag in the #support channel.

Reporting & Assistance

Any issues, complaints against users, or system bugs can be reported on Discord #support channel or directly to the club management team.
2
The club team will start resolving issues within 72 hours.

Right to Amend Policies

1
CST Club may amend these rules when necessary and notify via the website and Discord #Notice channel.
2
All members must comply with the amended rules. Members who disagree should exit the club.
