CST Club
CST Club stands for "Computer Science and Technology Club - Dhaka Polytechnic Institute".
We are a group of visionary students from the Computer Science and Technology department, session 21-22, of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. Our goal is not just to achieve good results but to gain expertise in solving real-world problems.:
We believe: "Technology is not just code, it is the language of solving human problems."
We were born into ordinary families, but our dreams are extraordinary. From this dream, CST Club was born. We want this club to create hundreds of students who will work for the country and make Bangladesh proud on the global stage.
In today's world, learning technology feels like a race. Everyone wants to learn quickly and get a job fast. But we often forget two of the most important questions, "Why are we learning?" and "Where will we apply it?"
In academic institutions, we learn theory, but in real life, what we need is skill. Many students write code but fail to understand the philosophy behind it. They fear giving presentations, and even when they have ideas, they struggle to find the words. Projects begin but often don't get completed. Even when someone wants to do something independently, they lack companions, guidance, or the right platform. Teachers, due to time constraints, cannot teach beyond the syllabus, and many are not trained in modern technologies.
As a result, while students may perform well academically, many face great uncertainty when they enter the real industry. We are working to fill in these gaps, solving these very problems with CST Club.
Our Goals and Objectives
Skill Development
We prepare students for real-life work by developing skills in various fields:
Our goal: For each student to become an expert in at least one skill according to their interest.
Peer-to-Peer Learning
We believe, "Knowledge is not meant to be taken alone, it is meant to be shared." What one knows, they should teach to others. We learn, teach, and learn again. Along with learning, we teach how to be a person, through behavior, collaboration, professionalism, and respect.
Life Skills and Mindset
Knowing technology is not enough, you must learn how to manage time, stay focused, and turn failures into strengths. We work for those students who believe, "It is possible for me too."
Our Club Activities
CST Club is not just a club; it's a comprehensive platform. On our own website:
- Members can create profiles where semester-based information, event participation, awards, feedback, skills, and projects are archived.
- Students can participate in various workshops and submit assignments.
- We provide opportunities for quizzes and blog writing.
- All information can be set to private or public according to privacy preferences.
Our goal is to create a platform like a virtual museum, where every student's journey is documented and visible.
Involvement of Seniors and Advisory Board
Our club is not just for current students, seniors from the first batch to the present are also involved. Those who support the club with love and respect are included in our Advisory Board. Even after passing out from the club, we want to keep them with us as guides on our journey.
Our policy is, no one leaves the club because we teach how to remain a family.
Our Virtual Headquarters: Discord Server
The most important part of CST Club is our private Discord server. Here:
- Members get solutions for all kinds of problems.
- All club activities are managed here.
- The management team, teachers, and seniors are directly involved, providing guidelines, motivation, and career support.
