CST Club is not just a club; it is a valuable asset of the Computer Science and Technology Department at Dhaka Polytechnic Institute. Through this club, students gain practical skills, leadership qualities, mutual cooperation, and learn to apply academic theory in real life. It is a platform where even students who say "I can't" begin to believe , "I can do something too."

Membership Types

1. General Member

This club is primarily designed for general members. For those who feel left behind, who are struggling with skill development, or freshers who don't know where to start , this club acts as a guiding light.

Even if someone is good academically but lacks practical experience, the club teaches them hands-on implementation of theoretical knowledge.

If a member believes "I can do something too," that belief alone is enough. The rest will be made possible by the club.

2. Executive Member

Executive members are the driving force of the club. They are actively involved in various projects, events, and administrative activities. They are responsible for decision-making, conducting training, guiding new members, and organizing regular meetings and workshops.

Qualifications:

• Must have expertise in a particular skill or leadership qualities.

• Must show discipline and responsible behavior.

3. Advisory Member

Advisory members are experienced seniors or faculty members who guide the club. They provide suggestions for planning, policy-making, and solving complex problems. Their presence helps in making constructive decisions.

Qualifications:

• Must be a teacher, guardian member, or a former executive who served the club for a long time and is willing to offer advice for its betterment.

• Must demonstrate responsible behavior and have full understanding of the club's rules and regulations.

4. Alumni Member

Those who were previously members of the club and have now graduated are alumni members. They help preserve the club's legacy and knowledge base and may participate or assist in various events when needed.

Qualifications:

• Former students of the Computer Science and Technology department of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute and past members of CST Club.

• Should be willing to maintain good relations with the club and show interest in staying connected.

Membership Process

Membership Eligibility and Process
  • Must be a student of any department at Dhaka Polytechnic Institute.
  • Membership circular is published at the beginning of each semester on our website's notice board, Facebook page, and official group.
  • Collect the form from the CST Club registration desk and submit it with accurate information and required documents.
Required Information and Documents
  • Name, Gender, Email, Phone Number, Roll Number, Registration Number, Session, Semester, Shift, Department
  • Photocopy of Diploma Registration and Latest Admit Card
  • For 1st semester: SSC Registration and Admit Card (later replaced with Diploma documents when available, otherwise membership may be cancelled)
  • Once submitted, the email cannot be changed and will be used to log in to the website.

Rules and Regulations

Disciplinary Action and Membership Cancellation

Membership may be cancelled under the following conditions:

  • Violating club rules or constitution
  • Absence from scheduled meetings
  • Engaging in unethical activities (e.g., theft, fraud, misconduct, defamation)
  • Misuse of club information or resources
  • Neglecting duties, financial irregularities, or disobeying committee decisions

Steps for Cancellation

  • First Time: Warning
  • Second Time: Written Notice
  • Third Time: Investigation followed by Expulsion
Reinstatement of Membership
  • Apology, a period of observation, and commitment to active participation
  • No reinstatement in cases of serious offenses (e.g., financial corruption, leaking confidential information, criminal activities)

All memberships and activities of CST Club are governed by its constitution. You must review the constitution before applying for membership.
